Former Deputy Head Teacher of Muungano Primary School in Katendewa village, Bamba Location, Ganze Sub County was Thursday charged in court for sexually assaulting his pupils. Joseph Muturi pleaded not guilty in court before Kilifi Senior Principal Magistrate Justus Kituku and was given a bond of Sh500, 000 with one surety of the same amount. It is alleged that the former Deputy Head Teacher, who was transferred to Migodomani Primary School immediately after the allegations were brought to the limelight, was the school’s games master and first aider. According to court documents, Muturi sexually assaulted 6 girls who were part of a team that was to attend County Sports competition at Kijiwetanga primary school in Malindi Sub County between February 8 and 15 this year. The girls were aged between 12 years to 17 years. The Court heard that Muturi seduced the girls and sexually abused them. This happened when he ordered all participants attending the event to spend their night at Muungano

A twitter user @Opomulero_007 took to his page to reveal how a young boy identified as Ezekiel was maltreated by his step mother. According to the boy, the incident happened on the 5th of June when he spilled a gallon of groundnut oil. He tried scooping it and decided to use water to fill to in fear of being scolded. His step mother noticed this and got upset with him. In the presence of his father, his step mother used a hot electric iron to burn him on his face. When asked if he was taken to the hospital, he said he was not, he was the one treating himself. He went on to reveal that his father did and said nothing even though he witnessed the incident.
